The very first of the Blue Series ‘Back Home’ was painted during my residency in Queenstown, Tasmania. I spent a month at Q Bank Gallery diving into unchartered territory in my creative practice. Pushing myself outside of my comfort zone I landed here… Back Home.
This piece is about returning home after the journey one goes through in their mind during the creative process. It can get pretty dark and intense but you always seem to come back to a place of enlightenment and completion.
